Just a reminder I've been using a slightly altered (by me) Pokemon Yellow palette for these doodles. It's very bold, but I kind of like it! Maybe I'll save the palette.

For any future Spoonflower surface pattern designers, don't bother with mirrored and half-brick repeat. There's no benefit since both require full-scale patterns to be downsized to 30 cm—might as well mirror/half-brick patterns in your art app first.

Originally, I was going to make it a blue forest, but tried a warm yellow glow just to see what would happen, and fell in love with it, sooo... Maybe a blue forest will happen another time.

These are some patterns I made for Spoonflower's Art Deco design challenge. I took inspiration from some fancy hand-carved edge detailing on an authentic Art Deco couch made in the 1910s.
