CORE ENGINE

WARNING
Due to the shear number and complexity for changes, old save files might be unfunctional with this version.

Added new weapon sprites made by True Clash
Added new animation sheets made by LexusX
True Clash added to credits
Xelynaria added to credits
LexusX added to credits
hadecynn added to credits
Updated Maik, Zerky, PaiPai and FanStalin’s credits
Also updated the Credits text file which can be found within the game files

Unlock storylines for characters removed
Rayzon keeps his short one
New characters after this update will have longer and harder storylines, but they will be removed after a new character is added.

The enemy level system has been reworked
Enemies now have a level cap which they cannot pass
For instance, all Jelly Overgrowth enemies are capped at 10 (excluding bosses, who are not capped)
Dungeons also have a Recommended Level
Entering them earlier than recommended will prove to be a challenge
For instance, Mag’Mar Caverns recommends level 15 (bosses are 2 levels higher than the recommendation)

Due to the difficulty slider, keep in mind that the recommended levels will not be accurate if it’s not set to 100%

Skills:

Burst Heal/Shadow Collapse:

Light Form: Restore HP to an ally equal to 3x Spell Damage instantly.
Shadow Form: Deal 5x Spell Damage.

Heavenly Barrier/Shatter Defenses:

Light Form: Grant all allies Shields equal to 25% of their Max HP. They last until destroyed.
Shadow Form: Reduce the Armor of all enemies by 25% for 3 turns.

Darkened Takeover:

Switch to Shadow Form for this turn, granting access to Shadow Collapse and Shatter Defenses.

Unholy Resistance:

Passive: Xelth takes 15% less Holy and Shadow damage. He has a 10% chance to perform a special Elemental Attack.

Now only Stuns for 1 turn (Was 3)
Only costs 1 Heroic Bar (Was 2)

Passive animation has been removed due to blinding testers

Blade Surge:

Deals 6x Physical Damage to an enemy and move Sel to the Frontline.

Shadowstalker:

Renamed to Shadowstalker (Was Dark Rejuventation)
Life Steal decreased to 5% (Was 10%)
Skills now give a Speed Boost and Shadow Resistance for 2 turns after use

Assassination:

Now costs 2 Heroic Bars (Was 1)

Shadow Drain:

Renamed to Shadow Drain (Was Draining Bolt)

Passive: Zivian has 20% increased Spell Damage, Armor and Speed while above 70% HP.

Rain of Chaos:

Now targets all enemies (Was 10 random enemies)

Only costs 1 Heroic Bar (Was 2)

Deal 2x Physical Damage to an enemy, and give Lily increased Speed for 2 turns.

Fire Absorption has been reworked.

Passive: When below 35% HP, Lily deals 100% more damage.

Alacard:

Skills:

Most of Alacard’s skills have received updated animations

Precise Shot:

Mana cost increased to 10 (Was 5)

Bouncing Grenade:

No longer deals Fire damage
Damage increased to 5x Physical Damage (Was 4x)

Expert Tracking:

Updated the description (effect is still the same)

Scoped In:

Fixed some bugs which allowed it to miss and last forever

Phoenix:

Base:

Role changed to Mage (Was Assassin)
Class name changed to Pyromancer (Was Journalist)
Physical Damage decreased to 14 (Was 17)
Spell Damage ramp changed slightly

Skills:

All of Phoenix’s skills have been reworked.

New names and designs:

Infernal Blast:

Deal 6x Spell Damage to an enemy and set them on Fire
Meltdown: Higher chance to Crit the lower Phoenix’s HP is.

Flame Buffet:

Deal 2x Spell Damage to an enemy instantly.
Meltdown: Higher chance to Crit the higher the enemy’s HP is.

Meltdown:

Passive: Phoenix’s skills have a higher chance to Crit, but her Crit Damage is lower than normal

Sear:

Heroic: Deal 4x Spell Damage to an enemy and reduce their Armor for 2 turns.
Meltdown: Higher chance to Crit the lower the enemy’s HP is.

Vex:

Base:

Base weapon has been renamed to fit the new class name

Skills:

Nature’s Bounty:

Active:
No longer creates Fruit
Now restores 15% of an ally’s Max HP instantly
Give them a Damage boost on their next Action
Animation has been updated to fit the new design

Earth Shield:

Fixed a bug where the Shield wasn’t applied to allies

ITEMS

Equipment costs and defense values have been lowered
Starter equipment defense reduced to 2 (Was 5)
Runic weapons have been given actual names and stats
Stat Potions and Flarestones have been removed from the game

Added: Stat Cards
Permanently increase 2 stats by a set amount.
Purchased from the Void Peddler for 2 Elemental Shards and 150 Gold.

Added: Gem of Cleansing
Remove almost every debuff in the game.
Purchased from the Viod Peddler for 2 Element Shards of each type.

Added: Gem of Power
Fill 1 bar of the Heroic Gauge.
Purchased from the Innkeeper for 400 Gold.

DUNGEONS/ENEMIES

New Untraditional Dungeon: Swamplight

Recommended Level: 8-25
Swamplight is ever changing! Hunt down the roots of what is causing the plant life to move on it’s own!

Edge of Reality has been overhauled (with help from Maik):
Use teleporters to traverse the destroyed landscape
No random encounters: Only dark beings that will block your path
Solve puzzles along the way, some teleporters will require it
Enter the Inner Abyss, and attempt to destroy the being that caused this destruction

Changed the dialouge given by the Man in the Cabin slightly
Fixed a bug where exiting the tent in Ley Woods would teleport you to the old location
The Crystaline Golem now rewards the proper amount of EXP and Gold
Phoenix can now destroy Wooden Barriers as well
Added 3 additional “Glitch” enemy locations and updated the text and location of the existing one
Updated “The End” so there’s more to see…not really
You may now return to “The End” after completing the storyline by talking to the character who started the chain
You may not return after earning the achievement “Remember my Name”

VISUAL/GAMEPLAY

Changed the color of menus and windows
All Mercenaries now have a “Lore” page in the status menu, allowing players to read up on their story.
Removed Alacard Fanclub and the achievement tied to it
The achievement has been updated to be rewarded from unlocking the Adventurer’s Guild
Moved the character who starts the “My Reality” storyline so they’re more apparent
However, there’s now a requirement to see them in the first place. Happy Hunting!
Updated the Guild Hall layout so you have to walk less
The first 4 characters (Lily, Machwar, Neraz and Zivian) had their prices reduced to 350 Gold (Was 500)
The last 4 characters (Rayzon, Xelth, Spitfire and Camellia) have had their prices increased to 750 (Was 500)
Added B.A. Speed option
Speeds up Battle Animations
Options include: Normal, Fast, Sonic, Hyperdrive
