Version 0.8.5: Rise of the Reaper Patch Notes

CORE ENGINE

No major changes

MERCENARIES

All:

Burning now deals 3x Spell Damage (Was 2x)
Silence now wears off after actions, not turns
Due to this, all enemies have at least one skill that cannot be Silenced so they can actually remove the Silence

Garen:

Garen has received updated visuals to coincide with his changes

Skills:

Guardian Strike:

Holy Brand now increases Physical Damage taken by 20% for 2 turns
(Was Holy Damage taken by 50% for 3 turns)

Shield of Light has been reworked.

New design:

Stun an enemy for 1 turn.

Lightforged Bulwark:

Active has been removed.

Radiant Rush has been redesigned.

Guardian:

Heroic: Garen becomes a Guardian, gaining Taunt and reducing all incoming damage by 75% for 2 turns.

Daniel:

Skills:

Binding Heal has been redesigned.

Blast Heal:

Deal 6x Spell Damage to an enemy. Restore HP to all alies equal to 30% of the damage dealt.

Spirit of Light has been redesigned.

Lightforging:

Passive: Daniel deals increased Holy Damage while above 50% HP, and deals increased Healing while below 50% HP.

Archon of Power has been redesigned.

Mass Dispel:

Heroic: Remove all Ailments from allies and restore HP to them equal to 3x Spell Damage.

Sel:

Sinister Strike:

Cooldown increased to 2 turns (Was None)
Damage increased to 5x Physical Damage (Was 3x)

Assassination has been redesigned.

Hungering Darkness:

Heroic: Sel gains 30% extra Lifesteal, Crit and Evasion for 3 turns.

Hyria:

Base:

Hyria’s had her Mana adjusted.
It’s functionally the same as it was before, we just had to change it for her new Heroic to work.

Skills:

Arcane Storm has been redesigned.

Nexus Charge:

Heroic: Hyria’s Spells cost no Mana for 6 turns. Also reset her cooldowns and gain back any Mana spent.

Neraz:

Skills:

Damned Strike has been moved to Neraz’s Basic Attack.

New Primary Skill:

Imbue Blade:

Increase Neraz’s Physical Damage for 3 turns, stacking up to 4 times.

Raise Damned has been redesigned.

Frozen Blood:

Deals 4x Frost Damage to an enemy and Chill them.

Life Leech has been redesigned.

Lich’s Barrier:

Passive: Neraz’s Basic Attacks generate a Shield equal to 10% of his Max HP, but cost 5% of his Max HP. Shields Cap at 40%.

Shadowy Horror has been redesigned.

Eye in the Dark:

Heroic: Neraz becomes Untargetable and Regenerates 30% Max HP over 3 turns.

Now causes an enemy to take 30% increased damage (Was Reduce their Armor by 35%)

Intense Conditions has been reworked.

New design:

Passive: Mitch’s maximum TP is 300. His damage scales with his TP.

Battle Cry has been reworked.

New design:

Heroic: All allies gain Damage Boost for 5 turns and instantly generate 50 TP.

Cyrin:

Skills:

Ice Shock has been redesigned.

Slow Encasement:

Apply Deepening Freeze to an enemy. After 3 turns, Encase them in Ice for 2 turns unless they’re a Boss.

Pillar of Leeching Frost has been redesigned.

Frozen Lance:

Deal 5x Spell Damage. If the target is Encased, kill them.

Chilling Touch has been redesigned.

Subarctic Strength:

Passive: Whenever an enemy is killed, Cyrin gains 1 stack of Subarctic, 3 if she dealt the killing blow and loses 5 after death. Each stack grants 5 mana, capped at 100 stacks. Damage dealt to Cyrin is split between her Health and her Mana.

Blizzard:

Heroic cost reduced to 1 (Was 2)
Chill has been added as a functionalitity

Xelth:

Heavenly Barrier:

Duration reduced to 3 turns (Was 5)

Shadow Collapse:

Damage increased to 6x Spell Damage (Was 5x)

Shatter Defenses:

Now increases damage all enemies take by 20% (Was Reduce their Armor by 25%)

Blood Moonfire:

Now states in the description that it has Lifesteal.

Emissary of the Moon:

Fixed an issue that would cause Luna to turn invisible after ending a battle in “Waning” if she transformed into another form first.

ITEMS

Relic Fragments have been removed from the game
Bosses now drop Relics instead
Items that used to cost Relics now cost about 3 times more to make up for this change

Gem of Cleansing now removes all Ailments (Was “Every Debuff” in the game)

Alacard’s special weapon has returned

Draining Skull has been changed to Damned Skull
Now gives +10 Max HP instead of 1% Lifesteal

Potion of Health now gives +100 Max HP (Was +50)

Basic Armor can now be sold
Only for 5 Gold, but hey

DUNGEONS/ENEMIES

Crystaline Golem:
Can now be affected by Magic Attacks
Instead he will perform a basic attack after taking Spell Damage
He can now only heal while below 30% HP (Was 60%)
All primary stats reduced to 20 (Was 21)
HP reduced to 1400 (Was 1600)
Recovery renamed to Stoneshaping

Updated the hidden path in the Edge of Reality

Ruins of Vynfall have received a massive rework

New name: Vynfall, The Old Kingdom
New areas to explore
New enemies to face off against
Visual updates
AI rollouts
The Blade Reaper’s dark secrets, now able to be uncovered
Hunt down his subordinates, find the way to his Sanctum and face off against Vyn. He will not be so easily defeated, so beware.

VISUAL/GAMEPLAY

Fixed the icons on the Options menu

The Void Peddlers have some new tasks for you to fulfill.
Fuel their…”efforts”, and they will reward you well.

The Man in White has seemingly vanished. I wonder where he could be now…
