Hi Folks,
So fairly big patch for you today which will hopefully rectify a lot of the issues that have been cropping up:
Monster:
Removed line of code that allowed him to slide through doors into your DM's.
Reworked his retreat mechanic so that he should no longer get stuck while running.
Added ground orientation (thanks to Johann Ostero, programmer from Captive Audience), so he should better match what he's walking on.
Books:
Added a toggle-able overlay to increase reading clarity, this can be turned on and off in options.
Fixed an issue causing the Car Folder to become stuck if reading when crash occurs.
QOL:
Increase distance available for culling slider.
Added a "Skip To Crash" option that allows you to jump to the crash scene and pre-select whether you answered the phone.
Misc:
Blocked up the cave to prevent early access.
Fixed an issue causing the monster to become stuck after the police call.
Reworked occlusion culling to reduce popping.
Added an additional collider to prevent the player from slipping onto the roof.
Reworked lighting for play-throughs with no volumetric fog. Lighting should only increase after the tutorial now.
Corrected the migraine overlay for phone call 2.
The deer will now be removed properly.
Minor upgrades to pre-existing systems etc.
Overall I hope these changes will improve the quality of each play-through, and increase replay viability by allowing the player to jump straight into the action! Let me know if you have any thoughts on the patch, or additional requests for the next set.
