Path of Kami Demo Update v3.0.0 with Localization and Port to Linux!


Hello everyone! Hope the weekend has been safe and relaxing. We're excited to share that we have pushed an update to Steam for the Path of Kami Demo Windows build and have added the demo to Linux! We originally were planning on adding mac as well but it has turned out to be more difficult than we thought!

We are still trying to make it happen though, will keep everyone updated!

We got quite a few updates in this build, you can check out the deets below:

Bug Fixes/Performance enhancements

  • Removed functionality that made credit menu close automatically with button click

  • ALT + Tab crashing game when in fullscreen mode

  • General performance enchangements

  • Localization system, Japanese, Chinese, Spanish (Spain)!

  • Worldbuilding across the level!

  • Welcome Area Prompts

  • Updated Pause Menu Art

  • Collectibles Inventory System

  • Advanced Settings such as turning off post-processing etc.

  • Menus now work with a controller!

  • Additional Dialogue

  • Updated credits menu

  • Photo Mode

  • Added Linux build!

Known Issues

  • Rare instances of Wisp glitching

  • Save issues with statues/spirit keys

  • Game Logo missing from logo option in Photo Mode

  • Post Processing Slider not working (we plan to remove this)

Future Plans

We plan on doing a patch to add and improve localization for Spanish (Latin) and French with additional bug fixes.

Mae Borowski is the main character of Night in the Woods! It's an adventure game that tells the story of her return to her hometown of Possum Springs. She was confirmed as canonically pan in a social media post by the game's creator Scott Benson.
