Patreon
Now this is not about you checking out my Patreon and donating to me, this is basically asking all of you for permission to make a Patreon because I’m really not too sure if I should gain money from this.
I get really uncomfortable when it comes to these things so I wanted to ask all of you if it was okay if I could make it, I would hate for everyone to see me as some person who’s just money hungry and is taking advantage of a community who loves something dearly.
If I were to set up a Patreon and gain money from it, I would use it to pay people for helping out with the game/art and would also use it for a new computer to replace my current shitty laptop (which would help further the production of the game, not just so I can get a new badass computer to play games on). Me and a friend were talking and he recommended that we pay the creators of Petscop the extra money we got for all of their work they’ve done to create such a wonderful thing, I absolutely loved the idea that they could actually gain something from it, while I’m not sure how we could like contact them, we’ll try our hardest to make sure that they get their well-deserved money, even if I have to force feed it to them.
So what do you think? Should I panhandle strangers on the internet for monez or should I actually work for my own damn money? Reply to this post with your honest opinion.
Edit: Actually just use this poll that I’ve created because not everyone has a gamejolt account.

Shoutout
Waddya know, someone else is making a Petscop 3D Recreation! Except this guy actually has some game development experience! The person creating Petscop in 3D is named DoubleBurp, they’re making the game in GameMaker Studio I believe and they actually have an alpha version of the game up right here.
So I guess I’ve got some competition! I mean, someone else by the name of HattanGames (Who you should also check out btw lel) is making a 2D Petscop recreation but I didn’t really consider them my competitor because they’re making a different version of Petscop which is actually looking pretty good so far.
So advertising my competitor probably isn’t the best way to compete but uh, I thought they deserved it.
Anyways, stay tuned for more updates!
