Acheron, previously known only as Huangquan, is an upcoming character that will appear in the Penacony story arc.

Unfortunately, even though we know for sure there will be a Raiden Mei expy, there's no confirmation on wether Acheron is going to be it, especially because earlier this year Mero posted the kit and concept art of the character Yayi (Lightning, The Hunt) claiming her to be Mei's expy.

However, it has been a long time since and no news were given about this character, and judging from Yayi's concept art (last image, via Blednaya), I'd say the devs reworked her into what is today's Acheron.

With that out of the way, let me explain the pictures I included:

1st and 2nd (via Stepleaker) are concept art and general description. I haven't read it yet because I don't want to get story spoilers, so I can't comment much on that.

3rd, 4th and 5th (via c2tr_ and ayatoloverr) are attack animation sprites. Since they already got released, I have a feeling she's becoming playable sooner than we expect. The white/red/black variant also seem to belong to her, even though some folks thought it was a different character.

6th image (via zaychik_rails and ayatoloverr) is an image from her skill

7th (via Thorillian) is her kit

8th image (via Blednaya) is Yayi's concept art, as mentioned before

Now that we have all this info about her, let's all pray for a Yae Sakura expy to come soon 🙏🙏
