Terry Smith appeared on the scene at Penn State, being recruited in 2014 for James Franklin’s first season. He was the defensive recruiting coordinator and cornerbacks coach. In 2016, he was promoted to assistant head coach. In 2021, he was promoted to associate head coach. He has now been named interim head coach after James Franklin’s firing yesterday.
