Physics and Pikachu

This is day two of working on Resurgent Punch, and boy has it been a lot of work — but very rewarding! I started by working on some more back-end management such as saving and a system to keep track of stats and everything for the 4 different characters that’ll be playable (I want to easily be able to tweak the small aspects easily at all times to give the best “feel”).

After finishing that I spent a lot of time on the physics, especially jumping as I believe it will be a very important part of the game, though not everything in the game is concrete yet. After that I added Pikachu sprites from the artist, a running sprite and an idle sprite to be exact!

Updated the chest in the maze, adding sound, particles and better animation. But what's in the chest?

In the quest for accessibility, I'm adding Resurrection Shrines for players on the 'novice' end of the platforming spectrum.

In order to unlock the power of a Shrine, you must collect 3 'Souls' from your dead corpses! (the floating blue orbs)
