First Day Complete*

Hey, all you wonderful people. Sorry about the late post, but I've been busy today. Then again, by the time you're reading this it might be morning or the afternoon. And it's not even really that late yet.

So, what's that strange asterisk in the title of this log all about? What I'm trying to say is that the first Day in A Pig's Game is pretty much complete aside from music. As you may know from one of my previous logs, I am not musically-inclined. Like, at all. I've made one actual song and another mini-song that I think sound good, but other than that nothing. Once I finish the music, then I can safely say that the first Day is truly complete.

Alright, my wife wants to eat ice cream and watch Sabrina the Teenage Witch with me, so I'm going to get through this as quick as I can while still coming across as substantial. We're on Season 3, if you were wondering.

Dakota: The Heart of the World

Last log I introduced you to a plant that I said would be important. That plant was going to be important and I'm going to explain to you why that is. Honestly, I'm not sure if I already explained this last log, but I'm too lazy to look back right now so here's an explanation.

Dakota tells you when you have completed that specific Day's puzzle. Before that happens, Dakota will give you a message like this:

However, once you do finish the puzzle for the day, you'll get a little cutscene like this to indicate something with Dakota has changed:

Once you see this, you will naturally (hopefully) be tempted to check back on Dakota. When you do check on Dakota, something will happen. I won't spoil what that is for now.

A Window

There is a window next to Ehh's bed. You may able to see by just looking at it that there's an ocean and beach right outside Ehh's house. For some mysterious reason, he can't go there right now. Will he be able to in the future? Who knows? I do. I know.

Sleeping in Bed

There's now a whole little cutscene when you go to sleep in bed. You may have noticed that strange log looking thing in the bed now. That is actually a blanket. Allow me to demonstrate Ehh sleeping in action:

When you go to sleep, the Day will end and you'll begin one of the Dream portions of the game. I've actually started to make the first Dream portion, but I haven't got too far in it yet.

Golden Items

I've made the first Golden Item in the game: the Golden Mask. Here's what it looks like:

If you squint, you'll be able to see it. Golden Items like that will appear on the table in Ehh's room after you complete a puzzle and interact with Dakota.

In Conclusion...

Sorry about the seemingly rushed post, but I really like ice cream and Sabrina the Teenage Witch. I hope this post will at least show you that I did a lot of work since last time. I'm proud of myself.
