Hey everyone, look at this
First time I'm sharing my plans for this year lol
Hmmm well, I wouldn't say this if I hadn't seriously considered the idea that this might be my last year in this community because, as much as I still really like FNaF and want to see more official stuff, it's been a while since I noticed that both the devs and the community in general have lost the essence they once had, something that made me proud to be in such a pleasant community. A time when we argued over controversial FNaF ships and not about who was right or wrong. Every day, I understand more why Core wants to leave FNaF (for those who don't know, Core is a Brazilian FNaF YouTuber).
I see that people value games made with little effort, filled with bugs that the devs claim are part of the game, and games that are practically FNaF with some poorly implemented twist that makes you want to play the original version instead. This really makes me sad.
You know that anyone starting something that isn't a "remake" or doesn't already have a fan base like FNaW won't be as well-known. Knowing that poorly made games with serious flaws that could have been fixed early in development win the game of the year award is frustrating. And no, I know that FNaF in real time isn't a bad game, but it's far from being one of the best.
I think the best example of a respectable fan game is A Bite at Freddy's, now that's an excellent game. But anyway, I'll keep making my games, which will probably be the last ones I make. Even if the community improves, it's very unlikely that I'll return.
And damn, tomorrow is my birthday, guys, early happy birthday to me lol
I hope that by the time I release my last fan game, I'll reach the goal of 1,000 followers or at least be recognized in the community.
And as I said, what does the future hold?
Will I be able to become an independent game developer?
Only time will tell. Thank you, everyone.
