Hey everyone,
Been busy this week! Got some bits to share but some stuff I'd like to keep hidden too...

POPGOES Evergreen:
First things first, I mentioned earlier this week that the missing environmental modeller has returned! It's not a huge deal honestly, they were just dealing with some personal stuff. They are now back on the team, active, helping with some things. We will get back to post-night environmental modelling some time next month, with the original game plan rather than something new. We're all good!
Speaking of environments, Garrett has been working on poses and renders for the "diner" section of The Popgoes Pizzeria, which involves some of the most complex lighting in the whole game. Of course Evergreen is in Clickteam, but this area will have virtual light sources from the CCTV lights, the window, and we're also planning on having a light above the table (behind the player, where Blackrabbit is placed) which flickers based on how many pieces have been printed.
Something I'm very happy with is how spooky Popgoes looks when he's placing pieces at the table:

(This is a Blender preview, not a full render)
I love it! Our main challenge right now is organising the Blackrabbit pieces on the table, and deciding on whether the pieces should be placed in a particular order or not.
To be clear, each room in Evergreen can print three different parts. In the original game, each room could only print one, which meant when Popgoes was about to print the final piece, you always knew where he'd go next. It'd be the same room every time. So that's fixed.
But does it matter if the pieces are placed in a set order? As in, would it be fine if it was always left leg > right leg > torso > left arm > right arm > head?
In my head, I don't think it matters. I had an idea for a challenge toggle in Endless mode that would kill you if Blackrabbit's head was placed on the table, even if the others were not. So if the pieces are always in a set order, that challenge isn't possible But other than that... I don't think it makes a difference. And if that's true, then it makes renders and programming for Blackrabbit's pieces a lot easier. We might go with that.

Oh and this is what I meant with the overhead light that flickers based on how many pieces are on the table:

It also makes the pieces easier to see obviously. Since they are matte black. Perspective from this angle makes Blackrabbit's feet look huge, but I guess it is literally a rabbit so it works.
I know the game's development is slow but I hope you're enjoying these snippets. The atmosphere is really coming together, I think. Seeing a backlit Popgoes and this pile of Blackrabbit pieces is genuinely kind of unsettling for me, definitely more horror-y than the original POPGOES game, which was... uh...

Hmm...
Anyway, some other small bits: Simon is even closer to being finished but Alexis is busy this week so not QUITE complete. Next week maybe. Also, there is some progress with the POPGOES Arcade mobile port but a lot of it is out of our control. I will keep giving you updates as they happen!
Last thing I want to mention...
I am working on something very cool right now. It's for the POPGOES series and you can probably expect a reveal next month. It is NOT taking any time away from Evergreen or Arcade. It's a bonus thing that I think most of you will seriously love. I'm having a lot of fun with it. I have no doubt it'll be a really nice addition to the POPGOES IP. You get no hints though!
Other:
If you enjoy the music of the POPGOES series, then you'll like this: the popular YouTube channel SiIvaGunner uploaded some POPGOES videos during their FNAF event earlier this week!
Wikipedia describes SiIvaGunner as "a comedic musical collective, based mostly around bait-and-switch YouTube videos claiming to be "high quality rips" of video game music that are in reality remixes, parodies, and/or mashups, usually incorporating Internet memes, popular music, or sounds similar to the original track."
In total three SiIvaGunner POPGOES videos were released; two for Arcade, and one for Evergreen. Here they are:
North (Dead) Forest - POPGOES Arcade
Joke:
INDUSTRY BABY by Lil Nas X
Cognizance - POPGOES Evergreen
Joke:
Hazardous Environments from the Half-Life 2 OST
Joke:
Multiple, but mostly Chaos King from the Deltarune OST
My favourite, by far, is the first one! But I love all three of these, and I'm so honoured to have POPGOES be a part of this really fun event. Here are some others from the event that I loved (no spoilers!)

That's it for this week! As always thank you everyone for your support and hope you're excited for next month's lil something!
