Firstly, I’d like to give huge thanks to you, and everyone else who supported the development of Tenome. Tenome got ranked #1 in the Asylum Jam 2017, and that is such a huge, personal feat for me! It wouldn’t have been possible without you <3
Anyway, I’m currently working on a post-jam update for Tenome. This will include features and fixes that I didn’t have time to implement in the initial submission. Read the list below to find out what it will include:
More Rooms
FACT: Each closed door was actually a planned room, but I didn’t have time to add it. For example, there was meant to be a Principal’s office and an infirmary upstairs.Escape Mechanic
The crouch key now has a purpose. There will be various locations where you can crouch under objects to escape or hide from the Tenome.Better Cutscenes
I’ll be improving the introduction cutscene to make it easier to understand what is going on. I’ll also be adding a final escape cutscene when you’re about to escape!Graphical Changes
One thing which improved the terror a lot was desaturating the camera and adding some contrast. This was also affected by an issue in the initial release which I’ll explain in the next point.Brightness Setting
I noticed many players found it hard to see in unlit areas (especially around the torch light). I will add a brightness slider before each playthrough so you’ll never miss any spookiness ;)Bug Fixes
This will range from the various collision issues, duplicated enemies and many others.
