Powerups!


I’ve been thinking on how to give powerups to this game cause unlike regular platformer, the playing field is very narrow. After some thought, I got this:

I’ve created two powerups for this game. Both fly from below and can be shot to gain powerup. Blue restores health if shot while Yellow gives score if shot. Yellow flies faster than blue one so it’s not easy to shot it ;)

Maybe I could make spinoff using those powerups :). But I’ll focus on main game first

On other side, I’ve completed first level boss. Phew, it took longer than I thought but it’s done and give decent challenge for first boss

Tomorrow I’ll start making level 2

I got new bramble and thistle sprites from a friend. I've also added more layers. The game is almost complete however I'm balancing stuffs to make it play better.

Forgotten yet great game series which should be brought back are The Lost Vikings series.

I couldn't find decent ideas for #BadArtChallenge so I decided to do #InayahFanArt and the former together with this Raptor from Inayah.

Ludum Dare 57 has started so I'm going to shelf this game for couple days to focus on the jam. While doing that, here are some new shots to show for today's #screenshotsaturday:

There are many games I've played and completed. However if I want to replay a game for first time, it would be this game : Bloodstone : An Epic Dwarven Tale. #GJAsks

That allows me to expande stage select to hold 4x3 icons for all bosses + 1 bonus stage
