Prehistoric Vibes! - Content consolidation #1

As we move on with Vitality, we are now at a point where we are starting to consolidate all of the content in the game. Up until now, we have generally done most of our testing in one big mosh pit, that is, all of the content for the game has been enabled simultaneously to speed up our testing process.

We are now at an exciting juncture wherein we can begin to consolidate all of the age-specific content into their designated ages. This means we are finalising the identity for each age and formulating the proper flow of the game to take it from a bit of a sandbox mosh pit into a continual game experience :)!

For those who are interested, one of the core design aims behind Vitality is for each age to have its own identity, not only visually, but mechanically as well. Starting off as as a primarily survival experience and evolving into an RPG with social interactions and civilisation! Our final list of ages that we will have at release are as follows:

Stone Age - Survival focus, small collections of cavemen with a world full of hostile threats and grandeous terrain.

Tribal Age - The prime of proper civilisation, with small tribes and Fixed settlements that the player can interact with. The content pool expands at this point introducing more crafting and item processing that will enhance your ability to negotiate the world around you. More interesting and co-operative quests also start to fall in.

Ice Age (Tribal Alternative) - The Ice age is an alternative skinning to the default tribal age with a much higher % of cold biomes, and therefore an alternative distribution of mobs, with some varied generation and quests. Functionally, this age will be the same as the Tribal age.

Medieval Age - Castles, towns, war and more! The world is changing and becoming more integrated. Life in a feudal society where relations between different towns can cause chaos!

Industrial Age - Advancements in technology allow you to build all kinds of different things and interact with the world in a new way. Whether it be building complex mine networks, pipes, pumps and processing plants, or just utilising advanced weapons and items to explore the wild!
