Hello everybody! This is Jacy, director, artist, and animator for SUNKY THE PC PORT.

And no, this isn't an April Fool's joke. I'm writing this till the first of April. Just want to surprise you guys. :)

Let's begin...

Let's have a serious talk first...

Remember we said we switched engines, right?

Well, my team members still complain about it after months passed. I always get upset whenever conversations like these happen. But after I spit my frustration to the people in my team, we decide to not talk about the progress of the game anymore...

Don't worry, I'm still making progress reports in the future, but only stuff that are comfortable to me.

Slow Development

Okay, I'm going to talk about this one more time.

"Does Development go faster if you hire more people?"

I mean, we only have one experienced programmer (Egg/Omicron). If we do hire more people, our team is just going to be a pile of strangers we haven't met.

(Go look at the description if you want. We hired another Sprite Artist/Animator to the team!)

I actually attempted to taught myself coding, I was in a call with Silly by the way. When I said I'll continue learning programming, she said just wait for Egg to finish. Silly comfort me because I was in a stress mindset at the time.

I have a notebook that I can put my notes in, so I won't forget what the code means or how it works. I don't want to abandon my notebook, but I just want to seek something that won't stress out my dev team.

Low Progress

So... yeah, Egg coded all this. He's currently focusing on other stuff. I don't want to overwork him too much because it may be bad. But to be honest, it looks so accurate in my opinion! There may be placeholders but please ignore it...

(Also, ignore the camera being centered to Sunky :)

Curiosity

^ This image on top is how much bytes Sunky games have. The ORIGINAL SONIC PC PORT has 200MB. All Sunky games can't pass 100MB. Again, all of the games (including the ORIGINAL SONIC PC PORT) are made in Gamemaker 8/8.1.

"The more you add, the slower it loads."

I mean, if SUNKY THE PC PORT reaches 100MB but loads slow, I have a decision in if we split the game into parts or just leave it like this.

*INHALE*

But anyway... Let me REINTRODUSE some of the characters for the game!

MRP4/SUNKY: A sunkified version of LORD X. The design is based on this video (For people who don't know). He's still Sunky but more experienced! He attempts to lure Tlels to his party. He still dislikes having his friends harmed...

TLELS: An orange fox that has 2 TAILS! He's still the same "Tlels", but he has no interest in joining Sunky's party. He just wants to be chill. (hint: he's a protagonist)

KNICKNACKS AND ROBOTNIK: 2 guests joining Mr. P4's party. Robotnik has a serious mindset but joins after he's injured by Sunky appearing out of nowhere, causing Robotnik to fall down a flight of stairs. Knicknacks in the other hand, just joined the party for fun.

EEMIE AND CREM: 2 gals just chilling while eating breakfast outside. Crem is very energetic when being outside! Eemie is just chill but she's still hanging out with Crem.

Story

Talking about the story, well...there's like lack of idea's for how the story will be.

It's not going to be some stupid "ARG" or "AU", I just want to add some canon elements to look like it's some "sequel" to the original SUNKY.MPEG.

The story is secretly going to be an ARG but that may be stupid.

Final Thoughts

So... we made it to the end of the report, huh?

I don't know what to say when ending this. But all I'm going to say is that if you want something done quick, don't. Just take your time making the project with other people.

Sometimes you stress yourself, but you can just take breaks. I mean, there's no force into it. Anyway, have a nice day...
