Hi everybody, hope you're all doing well.
So as you can see I got another update for the game, I'm gonna try my best to do this weekly if I can. Anyways, I got the hit working pretty cool and if you look carefully you can see the hit effect Draco makes whenever he hits an enemy. Also Draco gets hit if he runs into an enemy or an enemy attacks him like with Brute (that green monster)
Now, I do have problem that I'm trying to sort out. The problem: enemies don't get knockback like Draco whenever he gets hit, the only time that happens when they're not moving, like when the Brute prepares to attack he stops moving and when Draco hits him he gets knocked back. The method I'm using is gonna take adjustments for this to work, I know it's possible, just I gotta keep playing with the code. Other than that, I kinda like everyone looks when they get hit, it's pretty cartoony, exactly what I'm aiming for :D
Anyways, it's starting to look more like game well gameplay wise, I gotta add background and the actual tileset I wanna use for levels, not just those red blocks I've been using and yes those are tiles. And I gotta adjust the sprites a little bit to, I know some are a little blurry, I'll fix that.
And with that that'll be it for the this update. One more thing, if things keep going well, I MIGHT get the 1st level done this summer and I'll release that as demo as planned so you guys can try it out. That is assuming life doesn't get in way, and if I don't get distracted with video games lol.
