Hi everyone! This is the recap of the first year of development for Undertale Azure.
We've come a long way: what started as just an idea in January was already the foundation for a game in December, plus a ton more in concepts.
Here's the progress in a bit more detail:
• In February, I started looking for engines to develop the game, eventually landing on Godot. Actual development starts.
• In March, I continue programming for the core mechanics of the game.
• In April, the project gets its first team member. I also create the GameJolt page.
• From May to now, development continues with new team members occasionally joining the project. We've spent these months working on programming, spriting, writing, concepting, music, and more.
Quick update for next year: we're moving from monthly progress updates to seasonal ones. This ensures that each one can be packed with more meaningful progress and more to show off.
Thanks for being with us. Happy New Year, and see you in 2026!
