A little bit more than a month after the previous update, the next update for Project Apocalypse is now available ! This update don’t add any new significant piece of content and is focused on the global ambience of the game and also includes a lot of bug fixes !

Before starting I just want to add a small side note about the discord server: Project Apocalypse have currently a Discord Server available where I post much more news about the development and where you can talk with me about the game !
Content:
The first major change in this update is in regards of Audio:
The big part of this Sound Update is the addition of new ambient sounds: Showcase Video
There are also new effects sounds: When you pickup an item for example
Multiple sound bugs have been fixed
Volumes of multiple sounds have been rebalanced (footsteps, musics, etc)
Some optimisations to the weight of the sounds have been done
In addition of this, a work have been done on the visual ambience of the game, especially at night time, with the addition of lights and particles:
Note: This will for sure have an impact on the overhaul performances during night time, if you experience any drop in performances, you can try to reduce the setting “shadows” in the menu.
In this update I also made added a small gameplay change, zombies will now have “class” which give them differents statistics for health, damages, size and speed. This will allow for larger gameplay diversity, more changes on this will come with future updates !
Then, some changes have been done to the vehicles to add more details across the map, I’m worked on adding a lot more complexity and diversity to the vehicles with the addition of “sets of details” which consist in some garbages, items, etc: (this is just a small preview, more are actually in the game)
Finally, I added 2 new weapons to the game which brings the total weapons count to 15 !
Changes:
(Map) Reworked a bit the port and beach area to make it more interesting and more easy for the zombies
(Map) Improved the visuals of the trees from distance
(Optimisation) Optimised a lot of the new buildings and assets introduced in the last update
(Optimisation) Made some global optimisations to the new areas
(UI) Made slight changes to some UIs
(UI) Added a “reminder” UI that show the Healing Input when the player have low hp/low shield
Fixes:
Reduced the maximum and minimum FOV to fix some issues with the camera and the weapons (maximum 110 -> 100; minimum 70 -> 80)
Fixed a bug which caused the sliders in the options to don’t be very responsive
Fixed a math rounding issue which caused the upgrades to have an invalid upgraded value in some cases
The reload animation will no longer play when the player is respawning
Removed the red sphere around the projectiles which could appear in some cases
Fixed a bug which prevented the projectiles to be selected after healing in some cases
Fixed some AI navigation issues in the new areas
Fixed a bug which caused the wave to don’t start at the end of the timer
Fixed a bug with some sounds playing anyway while the game is in pause
Fixed a bug which could cause the zombies to one shot the player in some specific cases
Fixed a bug leading multiple musics to play at the same time
Fixed a lot of surfaces causing the wrong footstep sounds
Fixed some issues with the healing system
UIs can now all be closed with inputs even if the input is remaped in the settings (the same input as to open them)
Fixed a bug which caused the fog to always be very dense
Fixed some areas where the sea could glitch out of the floor
Fixed a bug which caused the mouse in the pause menu to be glitched
Fixed various bugs with the pickup system
Blocked an area that allows the player to go out of the map
All the settings should now be saved properly
Fixed some incorrect explosive barrels positions
Blocked some more places where the player shouldn’t be able to go
