I made this a 5.1 because I needed to get a few things off my chest.
I am aware that a lot of the followers on this page don't keep up with the devlogs I've been releasing, and some of you might not even be reading them (I'm going off the fact that nobody hearts or comments on them). I thank you for following the game and I love that you guys give support on this, so don't get me wrong there.
What does that have to do with Chapter One? Absolutely nothing. That's something I wanted to talk about. Now, for a Project EXE update.
Chapter One is, sadly, not releasing in the 2019 window I had planned. This is because our lead voice actor left the Discord server we need him in and refuses to join back (Left due to personal issues. I am NOT trying to diss him or anything. He's an amazing person and an amazing best friend, but stuff like this happens and sometimes you can't avoid it). As far as I know, however, he is still voice acting for the game. If something changes, I have a backup plan.
In other news, Chapter One's map, textures, and assets are not complete. I recently completed 2 out 7 posters you can find in the game, but there are still more things left to be completed.
Finally, I have not had as much time to work on Project EXE as I had hoped. This is because school hasn't been the greatest, and I've had to go through a lot of anxiety attacks recently, including with school, friends, myself (More about that eventually), and a fourth thing I cannot talk about yet as it has not happened. But I'm making progress on that, even though it's as easy as coding this game (Me making the Pre-Alpha was an absolute nightmare, so I was glad I found help for this game).
All in all, this hasn't been the greatest year for Project EXE or anyone else on the team. With 2019 closing in less than 4 months, I can say that a 2020 release is within reach, but the month is still currently unknown. I will be giving more information on what's been going on with me, my team, and hopefully more information on Chapter One's 2020 release in Project EXE Update Thread 6.
