As the game is being remade from scratch, it was a perfect opportunity for us to rebalance the current active animatronics from the latest public build.
Some were too easy, others too hard. So they are all getting changes that will be explained here.
Bonnie
Bonnie's speed when chasing the player will start fast, then slowly decrease until he runs out of stamina.
This will make him deadly when encountered up close, but not an issue if spotted from a distance. Make sure to look around the corners!
Chica
Chica will be faster, making her a bigger threat than she used to. The player will still able to escape her through all available means.
Foxy
Foxy was never meant to behave the way he does in the latest public build. As it's been stated already, his true mechanic hasn't been put in the game due to technical difficulties.
The player will have to check on him every once in a while either using the cameras, or physically going in front of his stage.
The player is given extra time until next check becomes necessary if they check on him physically, rewarding the risks taken.
Should the player fail their task, Foxy will activate. Once that happens, it will be nearly impossible to survive, as the moment he sees you, he will never let you go.
Fredbear
Fredbear proved to be extremely hardcore and unforgiving. While he is meant to be a challenge on his own, surviving against him was nearly impossible. To solve this, his sight is getting a new mechanic.
When the player is in Fredbear's sight, a meter will fill up. An auditive cue will let the player know how much of it is filled. The closer you are, the faster it fills up. Therefore, the farthest you are, the slower.
This means Fredbear's mechanic is about hiding from him and never let him see you. If he spots you, you are good as dead. Unless the office is right next to you.
The Office
Yep, the office is finally getting its fair share of balance as well. You didn't think the doors would just have infinite power, did you?
In the current alpha, the doors use a simple power meter mechanic. Once the meter is down to 0%, power runs out. The doors are forced open and the cameras will no longer function. However it doesn't mean you're dead, instead you lose your joker card and will have to be extra cautious when navigating around the building.
And that's about it for the rebalance. Of course, we still have 2 animatronics to add in the game, and they WILL make your experience tougher. Look forward to that soon, hopefully.
