Hello Everyone, this is Wendy, the current owner of Purpleman's Funhouse. Today is the 5th anniversary of Purpleman's Funhouse. In this post I will be talking about my fond experiences with this title and my friendship with the original developer.

While i did not make the original game, it's something that matters to me because i knew about the title before a full version of the game even released. The original creator, lowres_cryptid, has been a friend of mine for half a decade now.

In 2020 this artwork of the character Flesh Bonnie (as see above) was featured in the Five Nights at Freddy's community on gamejolt, which is how i met the original creator in the first place. This was not for Purpleman's Funhouse, but a game that predates it called "FNAFSTINE 3-D", where the Flesh Bonnie character originates from.

After i saw this (now lost) gamejolt post featuring the artwork of this character, I followed the creator of the artwork, and they followed me back. We talked to each other about our alternate universe versions of the FNAF story, i was making something called "Broken Mind" at the time and she was writing FNAFSTINE. FNAF since then is something both of us have had less interest in.

After FNAFSTINE 3-D came out lowres_cryptid was creating another game called "Purpleman's Funhouse". Before it was a point and click fnaf fangame, more so in the traditional office style of the original FNAF. It took inspiration from another fangame called "One Night at Flumpty's" (this being before the controversy of the ONAF creator came out), and it was more different than the final version of the game. Later, it turned into the free roam game that it is now.

I think this game is a very unique one, doing concepts i have not seen in other FNAF fan titles. The enemies in the game were a concept I never seen done before. I'm also a fan of the mix of 2D and 3D artstyles the original game had.

When the game came out 5 years ago today, it was played by big youtubers like "FusionZGamer", "VaporTheGamer", "DawnTaurus", "IULTIMx", and other creators. After this, new versions and remakes of the original game were planned, but none of them came out.

At some point the game page was taken down, and then a archive page of Purpleman's Funhouse alongside FNAFSTINE came up. This page was up until lowres_cryptid deleted her gamejolt. Since that point, the game was considered lost media to the public. After this i still continue to be friends with the original developer.

In June, last year, lowres_cryptid decided she was moving on from FNAF fangames, and the FNAF franchise as a whole. I was given the opportunity to have the ownership of the title, and the other FNAF related titles created by lowres_cryptid. Afterwards I put up the game so it can be played by people again.

I think now is a good time to announce that I do have plans with the FNAF titles originally owned by lowres_cryptid. I won't announce anything specific yet, but they're ideas i consider myself passionate about. When I end up doing anything with these titles they will go up on the @VansinneTeam gamejolt account.

I appreciate seeing the fanart I've seen for Purpleman's Funhouse. I hope people will remember the game like I have.
