Adding character to your game

  • Download free model

    bluecharactersprite.png

    Right Click --> Save Image As ---> CharacterSprite.png (for example)

  • Add it to Unreal Engine 2D platformer Project

    Just drop file into folder

    folder.png

  • Make sure it's separated from other files

    folderdestination.png
    droppedpngfile.png

  • Apply 2D Paper Texture

    apply2dpaper.png

  • Extract Sprites

    extractsprites.png
    extractspritesnewwindow.png

    Click Extract

  • Delete unused sprites

    select2unused.png

    Select this 2 sprites and delete them

I've just finished small map where you have to solve a riddle. It's pretty easy but I don't want to spoil anything. I'm posting some of the photos I took on ultra settings :) (don't worry, there are also low graphics settings)

The best nightmare? A level placed in the house (I didn't say it's not haunted). You will see on your own in 0.0.5 update! It will take some time to finish this map and add a little bit of story. Stay tuned :)

I'm posting coin sprites. You can download them and try to make rotating coin. If you don't know how, you should wait for tutorial. Don't worry I will help you :)

For now you only have to download these sprites and import them to UE4.
