Quick little update


Hey, I don't have anything to show but I'd like to post at least something to this game page. I haven't worked on this in a bit and I can't as the computer that has this game is unavailable.

But I would like to tell you guys about some things I'm planning for this game that will probably appear in the next demo or a demo after that.

  1. Achievements/Medals: I've already shown you guys images of medals in a previous devlog post, but I am planning to have medals in the game for completionists.

  2. Japanese translation & Japanese text to English text on sprites: I'd like to be faithful to the original Cat Mario by providing a Japanese translation to English text, and the other way around for Japanese text on sprites. Plus, most of us can only speak 1 language.

That's kind of it though, there isn't really a lot of other things I've thought of adding outside of that, soon I'll be able to work on this game again though and a demo could come out in 2023.

In the quest for accessibility, I'm adding Resurrection Shrines for players on the 'novice' end of the platforming spectrum.

In order to unlock the power of a Shrine, you must collect 3 'Souls' from your dead corpses! (the floating blue orbs)

Back in my art school days I used to ride the 710 COPSA line from Parque Del Plata to Montevideo almost everyday. This is the Marcopolo Viaggio G4 Mercedes Benz model from the late 80s, one of the older bus models that was running on the line.
