Hi everyone 0/ quick update time!
Today the artist that will be working in the game and I, have finished all the necessary paperwork which means from today she will start working on prototype assets that I need. How much will that take?, well possible a month (with weekly advances) BUT this is game development and I want to put quality overall so it may vary.
I also wanted to tell you that the development will be slow because of various reasons:
I only have complete budget to pay for pre-production graphic assets and half of budget for sound design assets, I still need to find the budget for animation (I had it but later I had a security emergency) for that reason I’m doing consulting work.
I’m currently developing an app for a enterprise to… you know to pay bills and save for the development of the game and suffs. I’m working on it from 9 am to 5 pm so I only work in Human Pinata from 6:30 pm to when I feel I can. Weekends are for Human Pinata and… my Master Degree Thesis which brings the next point.I’m doing my Project Management Master Degree Thesis on indie game development and that drains some time (and half of my Saturdays) and my thesis adviser is being a total asshole because of my topic (she doesn’t answers my questions and barely gives me feedback while she gives feedback to my classmates!)so it’s being kind of a pain to work on it. This will last until June 2018.
I would love to only focus in developing the game but I don’t think the games is enough popular to launch any kind of crowdfunding campaign or a patreon site so for now we will stick with this development speed.
Once pre-production is finished and people can see more clearly what the game has to offer I’ll consider a different way to found the rest of development.
