We’ve been looking for a 3D modeler for the past months. Found about 10. None of them worked out unfortunately. Still looking. Do you know someone? Please let them know about our project.
But we did find one more coder to join our ranks even though we were not really looking for one. Welcome XaeroDegreaz. He brings with him years of experience and discipline from corporate coding environment. That should really whip us up to speed.
I haven’t written any updates lately because there isn’t much new. We are still working on the same old things which don’t look particularly good on a screenshot - unless you enjoy looking at screenshots of code. We are still getting ready for the next milestone around January 2017.
Everything is on schedule so far. No complaints.
Here is what the game launcher looks like:
That’s not a mockup. It is now actually working. Don’t worry, the color scheme and button placements are not final, they are only for testing - WIP. The launcher is not doing anything special yet. There are still a lot of features to implement. But we’re getting there.
If you were upset by the color scheme of the launcher, here is a calming image of an oak tree, enjoy.
During winter time the trees will drop their leaves.
Music, animations and 3D models are currently progressing slowly because our 3D modeler and both composers are busy with their studies and graduate work.
Oh. I made some wise investments during the black friday sales and hoarded up some 40 gigabytes worth of quality sound effects for Rituals of the old. It should get us started nicely.
I updated and added some information on our web pages after realizing that perhaps everyone does not know what “voxels” are or what “sandbox” means, etc. They are now explained with mouse hover texts along with some extra information about Rituals of the old and our concepts.
