Why has KIP2 been taking so long?
The reason KIP2 v1.1 is taking so long had of course to do with my own game that I worked on a few months. But ever since I stopped working on it, I thought about the future of KIP2.
Now I am working on a full re-master of the game.
This includes a lot of stuff. Coding, graphical stuff, adding new stuff and fixing bugs.
Tee re-programming of the game is going real good so far, and the code is much more optimized.
The Graphics have had a MASSIVE update. Thanks to @kiratronic for helping me improving the graphics, because the game is looking so good now, you will not remember it the way it was. KIP1 v1.0 was just a small taste of what you are getting for v1.1.
But please, check out Kira and her team @apollonproductions cause they are amazing! They make incredible games themselves and are working on a fnaf game right now.
Now another thing, the bugs. Now KIP2 v1.1 will have bugs, I can tell that already. Since I am re-programming everything, I won't have the time to check EVERYTHING. But hopefully many bugs will be fixed too by doing this, including the buildmenu bug (Yes I hear you all, v1.1 will fix it, no worries!)
Now 1 small downside which I have said before, is that save files will be gone in v1.1.
BUT... I am bringing something special to you all to make up for that, and that is the whole reason save files will be deleted.
I have made a system to make multiple save files and you can name them yourself. This means you can have multiple worlds to enjoy The Killer in Purple in!
I hope you all can respect my decision on doing this, it just makes the game a little better for you all.
What are you adding in KIP2 besides all of that?
Well I have been thinking about my first idea's of KIP2 when I first made it, and I wanted a more lifely feeling then KIP1.
This is why I added open world in KIP2 when alpha 1 came out.
BUT, something felt off, so there will be parents, kids and cops OUTSIDE your pizzeria.
This also means you will not be safe from cops anymore outside your pizzeria.
I made sure to move the police station to it's old location from Alpha 1, 2 and 3.
There is also another building that was scrapped from Alpha 1, 2 and 3 that will make a return. I don't know fully what to do with it, but I will soon.
For people who played or saw the Alpha back in the day must know what large red building I am talking about.
Now besides the new vehicle (secret untill the release), I will keep stuff secret for now, to give you more stuff to look forward to.
Oh, almost forgot, KIP2 is now in UE5, but that is not that important, right? WRONG! Lumen (Real time lighting) is now also in KIP2, so stay tuned for that!
