Hi Marc Whitten,
So what you're saying is that I should just stick to 2022.3f to not be affected by the stupid fee, then? Gotcha.
I am already unable to work with the alpha version of Unity 2023.1 due to some Windows compatibility bullshit, so haha, double-fuck you.
But seriously though, while I am glad that they've actually got their shit together TO SOME EXTENT, I am still fucking mad they didn't initially even consider ask any one of us publicly like "HEY! WHICH ONE OF THIS OKAY? WANT US TO SWITCH TO THIS, YES OR NO?", not to even mention the lack of consideration of economic and humanitarian bullshit going on in some parts of the world.
Cos like that is one way to push your own userbase or any potential newbies far away from your product as fucking possible.
Doesn't mean that I will still be using Unity for any of my future games, though. Or at least the consideration of using it will be extremely rare. Maybe even as rare as a decently made steak dinner.
At least it could have been even cooler if Unity 2022.3f version has gotten an option to remove the "Made with Unity" splash screen, too, cos I am still ashamed of the executives thinking it was even remotely okay to introduce such a huge change the way they did, and I still don't want to carry around any sort of associations with that fucking name.
I genuinely feel bad for the regular employees at Unity Software because nobody deserves having to work under such pressure over several higher-up dumbasses.
