Reason's why the game is on hold:


  1. Motivation
    I still fully intend on making this game, but I’m finding it hard to get the motivation to work on it.

  2. Financial Problems
    I hadn’t had a shift at my work since I left town for a week in early april to attend my grandfathers funeral, and then I was sacked in June for no reason. I still haven’t been able to get another job to this day.

  3. Adobe Animate CC
    I’ve begun using the latest version of Adobe Flash (Now known as Adobe Animate). The problem though is that Action Script 2 (The coding language I’ve been using for 7 years) is no longer supported and wasn’t implemented in Animate. Then why don’t I just use flash CS6 your probably saying, well the backgrounds I’m using in the game are adobe illustrator files and can be imported into flash and animate, the problem is if the background is larger then 2880 x 2880 (which is more the 95% of them) when importing it into Flash CS6 it won’t be fully compatible and multiple layers will be missing, however animate has no such issue. So if I want to use them I have to switch to animate, and thus I have to learn Action Script 3 (Which is 10 times more complicated then AS 2) and recode everything already in the game.

So I hope you guys can understand why it’s tanking so long.

Next up

Decided to try my hand at lip syncing for the first time. I think it went pretty well. (This doesn't mean the game WILL have voice acting, I just wanted to try to see if I could.)

Here's a hint at what you should expect to see by the end of the month if nothing happens to delay it. Some fans might recognise this from another fan game from years ago.

We made a lot of improvements on the Freezing Plains visual. Things like pine trees, tiny bushes, some rocks, and others game props!

In the quest for accessibility, I'm adding Resurrection Shrines for players on the 'novice' end of the platforming spectrum.

In order to unlock the power of a Shrine, you must collect 3 'Souls' from your dead corpses! (the floating blue orbs)
