Recollection September 2017

After much hard work, we were able to improve the mechanic to the point were it was functionally sound. Since this memory mechanic forms the core of the game, ever other element in Recollection’s design hinges upon it. What makes this mechanic technically impressive is that it is 100% dynamic, you can place a memory anywhere at anytime without being constrained by limitations. This is something that you will rarely see in other games with a similar kind of feature, even in the Triple-A space. Gameplay mechanics that affect the environment so drastically are almost always constrained by a scripted element of some sort.

We also built a concept level for the game in order to introduce some intresting situations for play testers and give them something that was a bit more representative of what the actual game was going to be like.

In the quest for accessibility, I'm adding Resurrection Shrines for players on the 'novice' end of the platforming spectrum.

In order to unlock the power of a Shrine, you must collect 3 'Souls' from your dead corpses! (the floating blue orbs)

Back in my art school days I used to ride the 710 COPSA line from Parque Del Plata to Montevideo almost everyday. This is the Marcopolo Viaggio G4 Mercedes Benz model from the late 80s, one of the older bus models that was running on the line.

One of the most critical update for Sunblaze demo. Now you are able to pet a cat! Finally!
