After a bit of internal debating; we've decided to downsize our plans for the series.
No it's not cancelled. Anyway...
We sort of came to realize that our plans for the series were a bit larger than we were particularly cut out for. It's not that we didn't want to or couldn't do them, it's just that the potential development time associated could've really dragged things out. As much as we love this series, we'd rather not work on it for so long until TRTF's 20th anniversary, haha.
So what does this mean? Downsizing! We're downsizing all our plans for later games down to reasonable sizes for us to do. Of course, they won't be short games by any means, and we still want for there to be a good amount of content in each of the games beyond the first five nights, but we also don't want for each game to take too long, as mentioned. We're down to take our time, but there is such a thing as taking *too* much time, and we never want our games to take over a year to finish.
Tl;dr, the series isn't cancelled, if anything we're taking an approach it to make it less likely to be cancelled. We hope you all understand and respect our decision, and know that this will not compromise any of our current plans to make this series as nutty as possible. Want an example?
Etf2's main gameplay loop is you on a rollercoaster. And yes, it moves. See ya later!
