I wanted to quickly talk about something I've noticed some people do (repeatedly), and I just need to make sure it's understood:

Harassing another user about breaking the rules is ALSO BREAKING THE RULES.

Just because another user broken a rule on Game Jolt does not give you a free pass to harass them yourself.

As an example I've seen quite a few times, a user will post/comment something bad and against the rules, harass a user by mentioning them, or doing some other heinous act.

Then a pack of users will go to that user's shouts and start making harassing comments like these (spoiler because harsh language):

Again for the people in the back: Harassing a user over something they have said/done on Game Jolt is NOT OK. Instead, use Game Jolt's reporting system, the more users report something, the quicker it will be taken care of.

And make sure to properly provide context for your report, let the mods know why you think something breaks the rules, make sure it ACTUALLY BREAKS THE RULES, and it's not just something you personally disagree with.

If you want, you can block a user, that way you won't see their stuff on the site again. And then you can simply ignore them, and go on with your day.

In case you are confused, you can still talk to another person to let them know that something they've said/done might be insensitive, against the rules or hurt someone's feelings, but try doing it in moderation. Maybe try doing in private, and keeping it out of the public's eye.

Edit: Btw, this is not meant to "shame" anyone who might've done this in the past, and the comments I picked were more or less at random, and I don't know who actually wrote them. If you feel like this post is directed at you, I am not trying to "call you out" or anything like that. Instead I hope that we can all do better, and create a place for us all to enjoy
