As you may know, we "hired" ReD, a very talented yet underrated artist, to make new artwork for the community. And let me say that I find his work literally amazing! But many of you are starting to get a little bit angry over the fact that his OC appears in the banner of the community.

Let me state a couple of things:

By the time I'm writing this, I do not know ReD's in person, I never spoke to him. But this doesn't change the fact that people are calling him a narcissist because he... deletes hateful comments and block people who annoy him because he's getting hate for added his OC into an official banner?

Don't know about you, but if a person doesn't want mean comments in his shouts he is 100% FREE to delete them. I mean, imagine getting hate for adding a character of yours in an official artwork, not even getting paid (Yes, that's right, HE DID NOT GET PAID to make these), and still receiving posts shadowing your work... would you let people do that and just ignore them? (and also, we encouraged ReD to add his character in the banner).

The hate comes toward us mods too, users calling us "corrupted" because we let OC in official artworks... or what makes me angry the most: "Because the new moderators that were added (like me) are not worth to moderate this community".

In the community, before we came to be staff moderators, there was a mess of off topic and unworthy features. @Skullhead68 , @Wester , @_fanboi_ and me cleaned some channels (like the cosplay one) and came up with new ideas (like renaming "fanarts" to "creations").

I'm not saying we are "the heroes of this story" because the community moderation was already good without us, and @thoro wanted to bring "good" to "excellent", which we're trying to accomplish.

I, sadly, understand that we cannot make everyone happy with our decision. We still have to figure out what the members of this large and amazing community want.

Although we, as mods, are convinced that we did nothing wrong. And if letting a small artist draw his OC in a banner and not getting paid is something wrong, I have all the reason to go against it.
