Release 008 contains a host of bug fixes and new content! At the moment this release is friends and family only, however by the end of the year I will release 009 which will be the first public alpha build.
R008
Content:
The first Heist is now available. Heists can be undertaken at any Rogue’s Guild and will allow you to sneak through high-value areas to search for treasure. Speak to Jam at the bar in Undersetsu for more information (must have joined the Rogue’s Guild).
There are now various camps and points of interest where you can talk to your party to gain more insight on a quest or area.
The first Guardian Fount has been added. Here you can solve the puzzle in the area for rewards, or use a Glitch Essence (gained by closing rifts found around the world) to corrupt the land, and gain Corrupt Essence. If you choose to use your powers for destruction, there will be dire consequences later on (some quests will not be available, some allies will never join you, and more).
Hexbox has been added. This is an area specifically for the Wanderer where they can expend Glitch Essences and Corrupt Essences to learn skills, craft relics, and more. (Hexbox is obtained after falling into the pit in Lyset Mines.)
Dungeons have new graphics and layouts. Re-touched versions of the original that look prettier, the Arkitech Ruins, and shrine ruins.
More glitch effects have been added from graphical glitches to the game changing to something else randomly. Try and find them all!
Added a new quest: “Barrens to Beauty” in Lyset Barrens.
You can now purchase a house in Lyset Barrens and take part in a ~spooky~ event.
Bug Fixes and Tweaks:
Densetsu Village is completely redone.
The Sandwyrm Den now opens up into the Arkitech Ruins.
The Shooting Gallery has been moved to Densetsu Village and you can now win prizes instead of just money.
Movement speed is now set to 4 (Normal) on all maps, which is much faster.
Added some abandoned houses on Helios.
Fixed the Warden guise (it wasn’t working as intended).
There’s now a battle sprite for the female hero.
The Bow and Arrow is now obtained in the Lyset Mines.
The Wanderer’s Tool skills are now in Wanderlust and they can now use Bow and Arrow skills.
All interiors of houses have been changed in size from 17x13 to 20x15.
When changing your Guise, it now auto-optimizes your equipment and takes you to the equipment window.
Some inconsistencies in the story have been changed.
There are now three currencies on the main menu: Durons, Resources, and Glitch Essences.
You can now enter a character name when starting in the Lost Cave.
Lots of other little bug fixes here and there.
Notes: Active Time Battle was tested this release but needs further testing due to crashes.
