Akira Toriyama, creator of Dragon Ball and Doctor Slump, sadly passed away on March the 1st, and his death was announced earlier today. At school today (March 8th) at about 9:50 AM (BST), me and a friend received the news, which saddened both of us as Dragon Ball fans.
Toriyama-sensei made an epic franchise which raised like 4 generations of kids that left a legacy still here today. His characters of Dragon Ball are the forefront of anime. His work inspired me to get better at art, and even to start a YouTube channel with 256 subscribers to date, which is why his death is one of the saddest things which happened in Anime History.
Toriyama was in the middle of his projects, until he was impacted by a blood clot in his brain which killed him on March 1st.
We will really miss you, Akira Toriyama-sensei. Thanks for the memories.
