Finale at Treasure Island (2022-2023)
INTRODUCTION:
Finale at Treasure Island (FaTI) was the planned sequel to revamp, with the original name being TI IV, before being changed to TI III and then to Finale at Treasure Island, which was a name change requested by @HeisenbergusS , who is also the new owner of this sequel, role given by me.
The game had 2 versions, with the last one being in early 2023, which had barely anything planned other than mechanics, which were vastly different from V1. V1 had much more planned/made than V2, will go into detail further.
V1 had an early warning screen/intro cutscene by @HeisenbergusS and some scrapped lore (That I did get inspired to write my own) which didn't make it into any of the versions. V1 was also inspired by DOORS in terms of gameplay.
FaTI Recharm would have existed, however, that idea was very short lived. Heisen most likely will forever be the owner of FaTI, despite not having plans to continue it.
@Inverted_Minnie made redesigns of the FaTI cast, including a new character (Daemonium) back in 2023, which formed a project named FaTI: Reimagined.
FaTI: Reimagined was most likely going to be developed on Roblox, due to the game having vastly different gameplay from your typical FNaF fangame, with there being levels you have to escape and bossfights.
The lore of FaTI: Reimagined is much like TJOC, involving me and my creations coming to haunt me while I'm nearing my end. At the end of the game, a door opens that is supposedly the door to Heaven.
The following artwork is made by @Inverted_Minnie , who also helped gather a lot of information about FaTI through his ZIP/Archive on the game.
STORY:
Not much of the story was made, and due to the game being 3 years old I have forgotten some of it.
After Jake killed Mortimer and the Toons in Revamp, MOTHER sent Jake to some sort of purgatory, facing off against nightmarish versions of previously established Toons from Revamp but also a couple new ones.
Jake would have survived all of the nights, with the ending having him be saved by the NBD Voodoo dolls that were in the same location as him. The Voodoos would have attacked and killed the Mutated Toons, while also killing MOTHER, which reverted everything she's done, therefore setting Jake free. (The undoing of MOTHER's actions was used as inspiration for SFJ lore!)
V2 would have had almost identical lore, except for the ending which would have been changed (Wasn't planned) and would have also had a cutscene that was very similar to the MOTHER monologue cutscene from Oblitus Casa, however, she would've talked about what happened after night 6 in Revamp.
GAMEPLAY:
V1: The first version of FaTI would have had point-and-click freeroam, with you being able to freely roam around the map, which was mostly a square with some extra rooms, used as hiding spots.
You would be able to hide inside closets and also use the extra rooms as hiding spots against certain enemies. Will go into detail once I get to the characters section!
V1 would also open up with Mutated Mortimer talking to you, saying the things listed above, in a minigame styled aesthetic.
V1 would have used a TRTF 5 soundtrack
as the menu theme.
V2: The second version of FaTI would have had office gameplay, with Mutated Oswald being the only character with a planned mechanic.
There would have been numerous mechanics, sealing vents (Worked VERY similarly to the FNaF 3 vent seal, which was the inspiration), you could have hidden behind curtains (Inspired by TTLA), and you could've also hidden under a desk. I also vaguely remember you being able to seal doorways, although that was probably an early version of the vents.
CHARACTERS:
Both V1 and V2 have vastly different character mechanics, I will list both the planned V1 mechanics and the planned V2 mechanics.
Mutated Mortimer:
V1 - Mutated Mortimer would roam around the building, running away and avoiding him would keep him away.
V2 - [N/A]
Mutated Normal Oswald:
V1 - Would sometimes start a chase theme that would have even played Seek's theme from DOORS, click on the correct door until the chase ends or he catches up to you.
V2 - [N/A]
Mutated Ortensia:
V1 - Upon a cooldown reaching 0, her NBD 2020 music box would start playing. You would need to rapidly run through rooms until the music box ends.
V2 - [N/A]
Mutated PNM:
V1 - Upon seeing him in the room with you, stand still. He would pause everyone else except for Oswald during his attack.
V2 - [N/A]
Mutated Oswald:
V1 - Shine your light at him if he is in the same room as you.
V2 - He will crawl through the vents, seal the vent he is in to prevent him from getting in.
Mutated Disembodied:
V1 - Would have required you to hide in a side/extra room.
V2 - [N/A]
Mutated Minnie V1 & V2:
V1 - [N/A]
V2 - Hide under the desk when she shows up, her current sprite is an edited version of her normal one (which is lost) that was meant for a rare death screen.
Mutated Pete:
V1 - [N/A]
V2 - [N/A]
Mutated Daisy:
V1 - [N/A]
V2 - [N/A]
Mutated Dippy:
V1 - [N/A]
V2 - [N/A]
Mutated Willie:
V1 - [N/A]
V2 - [N/A]
Mutated Face:
V1 - [N/A]
MOTHER:
V2 - Would have replaced everyone and would have also mimicked their roles, much like the Revamp Mortimer bossfight.
NEWFATICHARACTER:
Was a joke that started on the old dev GC that has since been deleted.
Mutated Mortimer:
Everything about Mutated Mortimer has been lost, it is possible that he was only a concept. Everyone other than him and MOTHER had finalized designs, with some of them becoming lost media, much like Ortensia's, who had her design very recognizable, being fused with her carousel from NBD 2020. The image may still exist in an old Discord GC.
Reboot Panel / Flashlight:
The Reboot Panel didn't have a graphic made for it and was meant both for V1 and V2, while the flashlight was only present in V1.
The Reboot Panel in V1 would have been used to repair something crucial to your survival, I don't remember what it exactly was though.
It would also have an easter egg when, on very rare occurrences, Mutated Mortimer would jump out of it, causing a jumpscare that would then freeze, switching to an image of the abandoned Treasure Island with eerie music. Heavily inspired by an easter egg from Baldi's Basics Classic Remastered.
The panel would have been used to repair the vents in V2.
THANK YOU:
Thank you all so much for everything. This series, despite being far from perfect, has brought so many fun and amazing moments, and quite a few laughs too.
Despite Revamp's quality, people still enjoy the game, which surprises me yet makes me happy at the same time. I never expected such a game to be so important in my game development history.
Without Revamp, I wouldn't be where I am now.
This wild rabbit-hole is not over just yet. There's something else quite big left, but hopefully we'll see and meet it this year. Hopefully.
Until then, thank you all, and thank you especially to @Inverted_Minnie and @HeisenbergusS . These games, alongside my career as a game dev would not be the same without you two.
