Hello again. I’m back with a light update on things with “My Only”. Some good news to announce there, I guess.
Again, due to good initial reactions the game’s been receiving, I’ve actually taken some time to expand the over-world and it’s system/mapping. There are now more areas than planned, more collectable/interaction items, and more entities/scares to encounter. In that, the average play-through length may end up a bit longer than first expected (as well as it’s creation period), but I honestly can’t say that with real certainty at this point. Regardless, I’m sure this comes as good news for anyone looking forward to this game.
Currently, the maps have been receiving their new mapping layouts, along with minor detail adjustments to make them appear a bit nicer. Core level construction otherwise is the main concern for now, as that will take some time in itself to finish. After that comes entity programming and then story segmentation/sequences, aside miscellaneous factors. I’ll also attempt to hire on a musician to compose an original soundtrack for the game as well and, so long as some of the ones I know are available, that will be done in the background as I continue to work (along with sound creation, which I’ve already arranged for a friend to do).
That’s it for today. Again, just promises for more than was originally planned, and all thanks to your interests and support. If you’d like more, I guess I’d recommend you to continue spreading the word about my game and show your enthusiasm for it. I’ll continue to reward your interests as best I can then for it’s initial release later on. As well, should progress be made, I’ll continue posting about it in the News thread, so anyone can more easily watch the game’s progress and be aware of it’s release, when it comes.
