Progress is very steady, I have already written the logic for the level 1 victory event as well as other code that was needed for gameplay. In-between these additions I fixed multiple bugs and other quirks. Level 1 is almost done, with its code ready and map almost done!
When it comes to trees, Unity is in a very awkward spot currently: the tree creation tool and shaders are deprecated with the introduction of the new render pipelines. I worked on workarounds, but this will limit me on what trees and features I can use. For instance, there will be no wind animation on tree leaves and branches.
Something you will probably notice when playing the 2.0 version is how different the map and vegetation are. I decided to replace the old terrain, tree and grass assets with new ones!
With level 1 almost complete, I'm already testing it. Here's a few screenshots below:


Everything seen in these images can be subject to change while I play test and polish things, but the final release won't stray very far from this.
