Rickenbacker 325c64 #3Dmodel #guitar

I decided to recreate my favourite guitar in a 3D software for fun, and here are the results!

Rickenbacker

The Rickenbacker 325 is definitely my favourite top-tier guitar model, very big fan

It was a huge hit back in the 60s, with its retro look and sound. It has a quite unique body shape, covered with a glossy lacquered black color for the body and head, a similarly lacquered wooden neck, and white pieces of plastic for the head and pick-guard, and 3 humbuckers.

The gear mostly gained its fame due to the fact that it was the guitar Lennon used in The Beatles in their early Rock and Roll era.

Modeling the guitar

I spent about 10 hours on this model. I tried to be as accurate as possible: lots of small details and realistic textures.

First of all, I searched for a model blueprint, I found one that wasn't exactly the model I was making, but it had a very similar design. Then, I got most of the references from a guitar review video where they took the Rickenbacker apart and showed most of the pieces separately. For small details and accurate textures, I used this website, they made tons of high quality wonderful closeup shots!

I'm super happy with the result! Enjoy some other pics:

Who knows, maybe Triffor will get this guitar instead of his old one. I'm sure he'd love to have it hehe...

Making process

Here are a few of the many pics taken while working on it:

Unfortunately I can't afford one as of now, but it's definitely on my list of stuff to get in the future. I would love to give the instrument a go at least once! Eventhough after making this, I can technically say I own one now!

Y'all have a nice weekend!

Alright, first character I've totally butchered (sorry): Samantha, a casual wolfy gal, warm tinted clothes and shiny blue hair!

Character belongs to & requested by @Fredinator

I wonder who's next on the line...

I really rarely share songs for my game... here's one!

I got inspired by a couple of songs I liked a lot, can you guess some of them?

I made the graphic for the Emergency Charge Refill, a new item in the GJ shop.

Purchasing gives a quest that immediately fills charges, and it also comes with animated stickers.

@thoro had the idea of a bottle inspired by Zelda!

I wanted to make a speed paint video as well, so you see how unconventionally and weirdly I go about drawing...

Will have to practice a bit more top-down stuff.

Heck yeah, the drawings page on my portfolio is done! Supports multi-screen res as well hehe
