RINSED - Devlog #4

Hello there!

First of all thanks to everybody who followed and watched our little devlog video :)

We almost reached 100 followers and we are currently thinking about a way to celebrate together with you guys! We have a few ideas like a special item for the first 100 followers or maybe even the lunch of an early pre alpha in the near future... Stay tuned!

This week Finn started to wrap up our networking solution! This includes Item dropping (so players can share items with each other), Chest networking (which turned out to be really tuff) and of course visual stuff like clothing and appearance networking!

Things are really coming together this week!

Due to the fact that we plan on introducing item stats (like armor and weather resistance) later this month, i started to model a few different armors and clothing items to add to the variety of already existing clothes!

In addition to that I started working on footstep sound. Sounds are almost as important as visuals when it comes to immersion and the overall feeling of the game. Adding footsteps for different ground materials like gravel and grass turned out to be quite a challenge but im almost done now and the game feels much more like a game!

Thanks for reading this weeks devlog post!

If you have any suggestions or questions just leave a comment :)

Stay healthy!

Soon you will be a part of it.

As the glow stone cave was flooded and then isolated from the outside world for a few hundred years, it developed its own unique and oddly strange flora and fauna!

Made new Flowerpots with different variants for further decorating cities and villages! :)

Its almost been a year since I developed "9:16" and im still proud of what I achieved! I tried to push the visuals to be as photorealistic as possible and keep the gameplay as immersive as I could. Give it a try and tell me what you think :)

In the depth of the mine, the rare glow-stone ore can be found! It is used all around the midlands to power lanterns and is a great, safe, alternative to candles!

Those zip-lines were once used to transport goods from the mountains into the villages below but now they make a great (and fun) shortcut for all adventurers!

Released a very little very unfinished something!

Medieval times with zombies was always a thing I dreamed off so I messed around with the idea a bit in the past few weeks. This is by no means a finished game! But if you have fun with it: Go ahead!

Hey everyone! I just wanted to quickly announce that 9:16 is now free for everyone to download! It's been a while since I worked on this project and I decided that I want everyone to experience this unique project instead of hiding it behind a paywall!

Exploring uncharted Islands always comes with a risk! What creatures lurk in the dark forests? What treasures await you in the distant ruins?

Make sure to pack some soup because travelling between islands will soon come to RINSED!

Just a little clip of me building a frighter ship! MONONAUTS is a little demo experiment which I made within a few days. Try it out and tell me what you think! :)
