RINSED - Devlog #6

Hello there and welcome to the 6th devlog for RINSED!

Today well be talking about a few topics so put on your reading glasses and grab a cup of tea because we are about to begin!

Crops and Bees

In the last few days we added honey as a new ingredient and bee keeping as a way of farming honey to the game! Everything is still pretty early in development but it look promising! Honey will be used for a few important recipes such as bandages, Tea and Pie!

Honey can be farmed by crafting beehives and placing them on your farming area. At this point in time every ingredience can either be found in the world or produced and your farm which is very exiting!

A little video about farming will be coming soon :)

Books and Poetry

With the addition of books came a few ideas. The first was adding Lore to the game by hiding books all over the map. Those books/notes will contain personal thought of people who once lifed there. In addition to that, guides will be placed either on the map or in shops. Guides will give an in depth explenation for certain game mechanics such as fishing and farming.

Last but not least the idea of giving everyone the chance to immortalize himself into the game was born. This will come in the form of a poetry book which will contain a collection of poems written by you, the community! We already got a few great submissions! If you want to submit yours just slide into our DMs here on gamejolt or facebook!

Pre Alpha Testing

As already mentioned in a few posts, we gave a very early pre alpha to a few of our friends! We got a lot of feedback and managed to generate a long list of bug fixxes, gameplay adjustments and overall improvements from their feedback. Here is a screenshot from one tester named Roman:

He spend most of his time fishing and presents you a very interesting outfit whilst standing proud in front of a treasure chest he found!

Thank you for reading and thanks to everyone who playtested!

We have a lot of work to do so stay tuned for further updates.

Made new Flowerpots with different variants for further decorating cities and villages! :)

Released a very little very unfinished something!

Medieval times with zombies was always a thing I dreamed off so I messed around with the idea a bit in the past few weeks. This is by no means a finished game! But if you have fun with it: Go ahead!

Just uploaded a little prototype I made within just a few days for fun! Maybe someone will have some fun with it :)

You can built a little big ship and navigate through astroids. Thats it!

A little sneak peek on the first Island you will be able to travel to by ship! This island features lush green vegetation, lots of flowers, new wildlife, and of course rare items and a few riddles ;)

Working on a new ship and looking for a name! The best suggestion will make it into the game :)

Post your suggestions on here or over at our discord. A winner will be picked within the next few days!

(The name should fit into the game's world)

Its almost been a year since I developed "9:16" and im still proud of what I achieved! I tried to push the visuals to be as photorealistic as possible and keep the gameplay as immersive as I could. Give it a try and tell me what you think :)

Farmers crazy enough to grow food in the harsh conditions of the northern isles often need to use a few tricks to protect their plants! This seaside farmer has stacked lots of rocks high enough to protect his crops from the cold wind.

Soon you will be a part of it.

Those zip-lines were once used to transport goods from the mountains into the villages below but now they make a great (and fun) shortcut for all adventurers!

Hey everyone! I just wanted to quickly announce that 9:16 is now free for everyone to download! It's been a while since I worked on this project and I decided that I want everyone to experience this unique project instead of hiding it behind a paywall!
