RINSED - Devlog #8

Hello there!

We hope you are all well and healthy!

Yesterday we started our second playtest phase. We gave a copy of the game to a few close friends of ours and now we wait for their feedback.

Even though feedback from playtesters is important for every aspect of game development, we are currently depending on it for a few specific tasks!

As already mentioned in the last post, clothes now have stats. This means your character will get wet, cold and exhausted based on what kind of outfit you are wearing! For instance, a heavy backpack will make your stamina deplead faster, wearing light shoes will make your movement slightly faster and wearing a warm hat will help you against the harsh weather. Things like this need a lot of balancing and thats why we need a lot of feedback from our playtester!

In Addition to stats for clothes, a lot of new clothes and other items made their way into the game! We added a third backpack which is a medium sized knapsack. The game now features a small bag, the knapsack and the large travel backpack. Also fancy new clothes like a kimono, a fishermans shirt and a piece of armor where added. Berry juice, a slightly alcoholic beverage, is now beign sold at a few taverns as well!

Last but not least, we added a lot of npcs into the world! Most of them resemble friends of ours but as promised we also added one or two of our followers here on gamejolt! ;)

As soon as we got feedback from our playtesters, the next development phase will begin and we will get one step closer to an open alpha.

We hope this weeks devlog was a good read and that you all stay healthy!

Made new Flowerpots with different variants for further decorating cities and villages! :)

Those zip-lines were once used to transport goods from the mountains into the villages below but now they make a great (and fun) shortcut for all adventurers!

Released a very little very unfinished something!

Medieval times with zombies was always a thing I dreamed off so I messed around with the idea a bit in the past few weeks. This is by no means a finished game! But if you have fun with it: Go ahead!

Something lurks in the depths of the glow-stone mine... You better pack some torches because you will need one for sure!

Farmers crazy enough to grow food in the harsh conditions of the northern isles often need to use a few tricks to protect their plants! This seaside farmer has stacked lots of rocks high enough to protect his crops from the cold wind.

In the depth of the mine, the rare glow-stone ore can be found! It is used all around the midlands to power lanterns and is a great, safe, alternative to candles!

Finally happy with the "indoors" part of the game! Adding a small, closed off area to the open world of the forest was challeging but worth it. Lots of enviromental story telling in this one! :)

Super secret update friday!

Zombies are now a bit... Lets say "more motivated" in the darkness of the night!

A little sneak peek on the first Island you will be able to travel to by ship! This island features lush green vegetation, lots of flowers, new wildlife, and of course rare items and a few riddles ;)

Hey everyone! I just wanted to quickly announce that 9:16 is now free for everyone to download! It's been a while since I worked on this project and I decided that I want everyone to experience this unique project instead of hiding it behind a paywall!
