This is Dazzle camo
Dazzle camo is a WW1 naval tactic invented by the artist Norman Wilkinson, which was used against the German U-boats that were sinking british ship left and right.
The geometric pattern and the contrasting colors made it difficult for German U-boats to judge thier speed, size, range and direction making thier shots less accurate.
