Today I discovered something about how gamemakers file saving works.
Thanks to @MarioAndMiles 
I was able to fix this pretty quickly. If you download the game now the save file will be empty. If you already have some progress in the game and don’t want to replay it this bug shouldn’t break the game. The only thing it really affects is that the overworld won’t work correctly with it.
