This is the statue of Miki.

This is poisonous puddle. It's very reactive to air. Touch it and you're sure to be turned into a puddle of goo

it's your good pal sign. You know the one that only appears when it's time to learn something new in the game. Oh and it talks.

In the Ice mountain area you can find these lamps scattered around. The heat lamp turns Ice into water and the Ice lamp turns water into Ice, both only lasts 15 seconds so better be quick.
