Special Containment Procedures: SCP-4043 is contained at Site-19 in a specially designed apartment-style cell, simulating a standard urban residential space with an area of 38 m². The cell is divided into four zones: a general living room, a kitchen, a sleeping area, and a combined bathroom. The interior design is executed in warm pastel colors and is intended to maintain a sense of comfort and security in the subject to minimize stress and prevent the risk of anomalous manifestation.

For safety reasons, all potentially dangerous objects (sharp, cutting) are removed from permanent access. Hygiene procedures are conducted exclusively by female personnel (Class C) in protective suits. Surveillance cameras are installed in the living area and kitchen; video surveillance is absent in the bedroom and bathroom for ethical reasons and at the subject's request.

SCP-4043 is not to participate in experiments without direct permission from an O5 Council member. Violation of this protocol entails the violator's suspension from any research involving Foundation objects or subjects, up to and including demotion to Class D. The subject is provided with sessions with a psychologist twice a month. Her personal collection of anime, manga, and video games is to be updated three times a year.

Any physical contact with the bare skin of SCP-4043 is strictly prohibited. During transportation, the subject must be dressed in the standard uniform of Class D personnel with additional gloves styled to match the uniform. Her characteristic beanie with the tag "Luck" is left at her disposal. Security must maintain a distance of 3-6 meters from the subject; any physical contact with SCP-4043 without special necessity is prohibited.

In the event that any individual touches SCP-4043, they are to be immediately terminated regardless of the status of the individual who touched SCP-4043.

Description: SCP-4043 is a young 19-year-old girl, known under the civilian name Lynn Grace. The subject's height is 155 cm, build is slender, eyes are black, hair is chestnut, haircut varies according to her preference. Possesses an attractive appearance, usually concealed under the standard Class D uniform.

SCP-4043 possesses the ability to reduce to zero the level of luck (or probability of positive outcomes) of any person who directly touches her skin. The anomalous effect is not activated at the moment of contact but manifests immediately after its cessation. The result is catastrophic chains of improbable misfortunes leading to severe injury or death of the affected individual.

The strength and scale of the effect correlate with the subject's emotional state and the degree of her attachment to the target. The effect poses the greatest danger when SCP-4043 feels safe with a person or experiences positive emotions towards them — in this case, not only the immediate "victim" but also random people nearby may be at risk. The effect is blocked by any barrier (clothing, gloves).

Excerpt from SCP-4043's personal psychologist's log:According to interviews, the anomalous properties manifested in SCP-4043 at the age of 8, when, after farewell hugs with her parents, the aircraft carrying them crashed due to a series of improbable technical failures. Subsequent years in the orphanage were marked by a series of strange accidents involving those around her.

Awareness of her nature came to the subject at the age of 18, following the death of her boyfriend, with whom she [DATA EXPUNGED]. The subsequent suicide attempt on railway tracks led to the deaths of depot workers who tried to save her, as a result of an incredible confluence of circumstances.

The SCP Foundation took notice of a chain of statistically impossible incidents in which the name "Lynn Grace" appeared. The subject was detained, witnesses were administered Class C amnestics, and all documentary mentions were confiscated.

Psychologist's Note: SCP-4043 exhibits depressive-anxiety disorder, a profound sense of guilt, and conscious social isolation. Her hobbies (manga, anime, video games) serve as her primary window into the world of social interactions and a source of psychological stability. Containment in conditions simulating a normal life is currently the optimal measure preventing both the escalation of her abilities and further degradation of her mental state. She is not hostile, but her body is a lethally dangerous weapon against anyone she might love or simply touch.
