Well, I was thinking about another project as I'm writing this but this isn't really related to JA at all, so I really can't mention it in any circumstance.
Though let's talk about last week and let's have a little leak from me: what I've been doing is animation. Am I proud of it? Well, I think it's good enough but animation isn't exactly my strong suit and I probably have to do like ~112 of them. It's not an exact number but it's even more including skill animations. Why do so much instead of relying on the database animations? It's because for one, I want attacks to sync up. When Jonathan swings his mighty hammer down, it should feel like Jonathan DID hit his enemy and not just flail and it hits them. It should be satisfying to kill your enemies at least a bit visually. For two, a lot of these animations are done within the battle animations database and a great benefit is that they're much more customizable than say the default battle character set which only uses a merely 3 FRAMES.
Am I gonna get help for this? Maybe. Though I should start focusing more onto the comics so this is something to look forward to. Except I do like editing the project with some bonus stuff, like additional windows and menu SFX. I like it because if you don't like using that window or this sound effect, you can switch to another one. So that's it for today, see you on the next devlog.
