Oh hey, it's the last Sunday for this month! There's some programming love to the JA 5th's anniversary, so this is what we're going to talk about.
Now, there's some weird code stuff I made for the menu. Okay, so originally, I wanted a menu that would essentially adjust every actor's level to a certain level depending on a difficulty. Now, I told I could do this with around 6 variables. But the thing is that I thought there was something wrong with RPG maker 2k3. So I went to look for the code for my menu and removed some features. The issue was still there, and that got bleak until I realized that the common event I was using was stuck on itself because I kept calling itself everytime it went down on each actor. So I fixed that issue by removing said feature and used another variable to constantly set the temporarily variable to the set value for the difficulty the player chose.
Also, because of the game's purpose, I tried recreating JAC/JABE's window skin for RPG Maker 2k3. It doesn't look exactly like the original, considering that it doesn't have the same colors, since they're toned down to better contrast the text since that game designs text WAY differently than how RPG Maker MV designs its text. Not to mention that it uses alpha values, so this wouldn't look the same for the special game, since it's limited to 256 color depth and transparency (As in actual alpha values.) doesn't exist for 8-bit pictures.
Now, for the next segment: TOMODACHI LIFE. Again.
Today, in Mikado Island at the 22nd, Zane and Sylvia had a fight. They never made up. I think. This, naturally, makes Zane go sad.
Aside from Zane being a complete fraud, Bulk Bogan confesses to Aukami! ...Place your bets now.
Now, let's relax and have some two more unrelated pictures of Imasu.
Meanwhile, in Tokyo Island, Sylvia proposes to Peppino. Again, it doesn't work.
I should tell you straight in that I don't know much of Japanese to understand the dialogue itself. Not that I don't know what the hell am I doing, because I've played Tomodachi Life for years and I know at least exactly what button does which. So sometimes I have to bring up a translator from my phone to understand what they want (Like for example, I don't know the phrase for say wanting to change their hair color.).
Back to Mikado Island, Imasu and Sasara go on another trip! This time, it's France!
Another couple come in and that's Sebastian and Ankha, they're going to Peru.
Back at Tokyo, Zane and Lebron James get married.
They went to Hawaii as a honeymoon.
Then, back in Mikado Island, Natty confesses to her love to... somebody. I forgot who it is but it didn't matter.
So the 25th arrived and Jonathan and Sasara had a fight.
This happened within a day mind you. Within 4 fucking minutes. That's... quick for a 180 right there.
So Matthew tries to score for Aukami, but guess who gets Aukami?
Guess it's house rules that if you betted that Bulk Bogan wouldn't get Aukami, so all of your virtual goods is mine. Sorta.
In Tokyo Island, Xin and Peppino get married!
And they went to Hawaii I think?
Then Kabi in Mikado Island wants Yuya. Despite the fact that Yuya's been taken from Zane, I told her the truth. This truth makes Kabi sad.
Don't ask why she wears a wig that she loves. I don't know why but I guess the mirror will change that eventually?
So then, Yuya and Zane get married!
So after I took a nap after this (FUCK.), they went to Peru.
So Xin and Peppino get married. Again. In Mikado Island.
And to end this segment... the worst thing has happened; Zane and Lebron James made a baby in Tokyo Island.
And the great thing about this is that this marks the FIRST time that I get to use fanart in this devlog. So Demiebow Skiema has made, with the expressed permission I got to use this artwork, this fan art.
And that's the end of this devlog, see you soon on Pride Month.
