Hey everyone,
Yeah, seven years, can you believe it?
Six or seven years ago, I was a noob developer. I didn't know what to do, what engine to create games on, or even what I was going to do with my life.
Then, I researched and researched. Then, Five Nights at Freddy's was out, I found out what engine that was on, found an older version of it, downloaded it and set off on my own game development journey.
I didn't know that the older version was the same as Clickteam Fusion 2.5, so, eventually, I found out a way to download it.
I downloaded it and, again, set out on my game development journey once more.
However, I still didn't know how to create games well. Didn't know how to save and load games, didn't know how to do side scrollers, heck, I didn't even know how to use counters well.
I followed Sparckman's tutorials, and even competed in his first game jam. He was so simple, I learned a lot from him.
After Sparckman was done and was deleting or privating his Clickteam tutorials, or a little bit before that, I found out another channel. Amazing ZenTaco.
ZenTaco was then my advanced tutor, until he then did not do anymore Clickteam tutorials.
I messed around with the Ini object a little bit. I needed to find out a way to do saving and loading for a game I was working on, (The Scarred Warrior's Son (still in development btw)). But I couldn't get the hang of it...
Until I learned from a .mfa file, then I got the hang of it finally.
I've learned a lot about Clickteam Fusion 2.5. Along the way, I've met friends. A lot of them too. Some I still talk to, some I don't, and some I talk to rarely.
I learned a little bit of Unity, and therefore C#, Python, HTML and CSS, JAVA, a small amount of Unreal Engine 4, and Godot.
A lot of new languages, but Clickteam is my favourite engine because you can make anything without looking up how to when you get the hang of it.
All I want to say is thank you Clickteam and thank you everyone. I really appreciate you all playing, rating, and even talking to me. Adding me.
Thank you!
JSG.
