Should Humans be based of animals or regular humans?
Some popular fangames such as Tyke and Sons lumber Co, feature the survivors being either Beavers, birds, and unusual beings. Also involving the animatronics haunting them during gameplay.
While most fnaf games dont even have proper humans, which is a bit odd.
In Case: DP, there will be reflections of the player, images of other people, dead bodies, and even multiple people surviving with you!

In the quest for accessibility, I'm adding Resurrection Shrines for players on the 'novice' end of the platforming spectrum.
In order to unlock the power of a Shrine, you must collect 3 'Souls' from your dead corpses! (the floating blue orbs)
